This blog hosts pictures of models painted by me (Alan O'Bryan), a four-time U.S. Golden Demon winner (2002-2003) and the 2013 West Coast Store Wars and 2016 Las Vegas Open Warmachine/Hordes Master Craftsman. I hope you enjoy these models and find inspiration here for your own work! PLEASE NOTE: While I still sometimes use this blog to post pictures for linking to on forums, my main page has moved to www.gorillawithabrush.com. See you there!

Horus the Warmaster
It's been dark and stormy here in Arizona the last couple of days, so I had to do something different than the natural light setup I usually use. I'm not 100% happy with the pictures, but the model is done and I am very happy with how it turned out. :-) If I get a chance to take more pictures before I have to give this to my friend, I will.

My 2002-2003 Golden Demon Winning Models
Back in 2002-2003 I didn't have a nice camera to take pictures of my models. While I still own these models, they sit in the back of my display case and I've never bothered to try to take good pictures of them. But I came across a website yesterday that catalogs all of the Golden Demon winners starting around the time I competed, and they have these pictures of my models.
I only competed twice and took home two golds and two silvers. After that I chose to mostly retire from competitions to focus on commission painting and completing armies I played with.
Anyway, if you've never seen these before, enjoy the blasts from the past!
