This blog hosts pictures of models painted by me (Alan O'Bryan), a four-time U.S. Golden Demon winner (2002-2003) and the 2013 West Coast Store Wars and 2016 Las Vegas Open Warmachine/Hordes Master Craftsman. I hope you enjoy these models and find inspiration here for your own work!
PLEASE NOTE: While I still sometimes use this blog to post pictures for linking to on forums, my main page has moved to www.gorillawithabrush.com. See you there!
Thanks! The transitions between the lighter belly area and the other skin areas are always tricky when doing something like this. I usually try to feather the paints into one another to get a smooth transition, but this time I tried using the stippling to create the transition. I'm happy with how he turned out. In fact, I'm a little sad to be shipping him off soon. I will miss him and wish I could keep him for my own painting case!
I like when people paint this kind of monsters with a paler belly, and you did this beautifully.
